O Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are on the list of 10 best cities to visit in Latin Americaaccording to the World Best Awards 2022 ranking, based on a survey carried out by the prestigious publication Travel + Leisure with the aim of recognizing the best experiences and destinations of the moment around the world.

The capital of Rio de Janeiro appears in third place, followed by São Paulo, which comes in fourth. Cusco in Peru, is at the top of the rankings. One of the biggest surprises is Antigua Guatemala, a small town surrounded by volcanoes in Guatemala, which comes in second place.

The World Best Awards are based on surveys conducted with readers of Travel + Leisure’s print and digital media. Respondents were asked to rate various services such as airlines, airports, car rental agencies, tourist attractions, hotels and tour operators.
