BABA and Instituto C&A select Fashion students for internship


Recruitment is for black and indigenous students who do not yet have professional experience in the field

the Ceará brand BABYSITTERcreated by designer Gabriel Baquit, and the Instituto C&A are recruiting fashion students for an immersive professional internship experience. The selection is aimed at black and indigenous students, between 16 and 29 years old, residents of Fortaleza and who do not yet have professional experience in the area.

Those selected will have a three-month internship with BABA mentoring, a 30-hour workweek, a R$1,300 professional experimentation grant and a meal allowance of R$25 per day, in addition to transportation allowance. At registrations are online and can be made until the 5th of September.

christened of My First Run in Fashion, the initiative is part of the Minha Carreira na Moda public notice, launched in August by Instituto C&A and which aims to expand professional opportunities in the segment. In addition to BABA, eight other brands from all over the country are in the selection: Apartment 03, Ateliê Mão de Mãe, Isaac Silva Brand, Maurício Duarte Brand, Lucas Leão Co, Mapa Lingerie, Roda and Open Studio.

In addition to the professional internship, Minha Carreira na Moda has two other aspects: Meu Futuro da Moda, which enables exchanges between people who already work in the area and professionals who want to start their careers; and Minha Criação de Moda, in partnership with Faculdade Santa Marcelina and Instituto Focus Têxtil, which will enable ongoing training, with professors from the institution, who will cover everything from product development and collection to planning.
